MINUTES

Representative Tim Kelly, Chair of the Transportation Policy and Finance Committee, began the sixteenth meeting at 12:49 p.m. on March 9, 2015, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Chair Kelly began the meeting at 12:49 p.m. A quorum was NOT Present.

Chair Kelly called the meeting to order at 12:50 p.m. A quorum was present.

Representative Anderson moved to approve the minutes of March 4, 2015. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Mike Schadauer, Director of the Minnesota Department of Transportation Office of Transit, gave an overview of transit.

Tim Mitchell, Director of the Bicycle and Pedestrian Program at the Minnesota Department of Transportation, gave an overview of bicycle and pedestrian planning.

Tim Henkel, Director of the Modal Planning and Program Management Division of the Minnesota Department of Transportation, gave an overview of passenger rail.

HF558 (Howe): Safe routes to school grant eligibility modified.

Chair Kelly moved to bring HF558 before the committee.

Representative Howe testified on HF558.

Chair Kelly laid HF558 over for possible inclusion in the Transportation Policy and Finance Omnibus Bill.

HF797 (Sundin): Used goods and used motor vehicles sales tax exemption provided.

Representative Sundin moved to bring HF797 before the committee.

Representative Sundin testified on HF797.


Chair Kelly laid HF797 over for possible inclusion in the Transportation Policy and Finance Omnibus Bill.

The meeting was adjourned at 2:32 p.m.
