STATE GOVERNMENT FINANCE COMMITTEE
MINUTES

Representative Anderson, Chair of the State Government Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 3:12 P.M. on May 17, 2016, in the Basement of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Chair Anderson called the meeting to order at 3:12 P.M. A quorum was present.

Representative Schultz moved that the minutes from the committee meeting on May 12, 2016 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Anderson moved that HF659 come before the committee and be re-referred to the General Register.

Representative O’Driscoll presented HF659.

HF659 (O’Driscoll) – Omnibus state retirement bill.

Susan Lenczewski, Executive Director of the Legislative Commission on Pensions and Retirement, gave an overview of the bill.

The following testified on HF659:

Brian Rice, Lobbyist, AFSCME Council 5
Doug Anderson, Executive Director, Public Employees Retirement Association of Minnesota
Jill Schurtz, Executive Director, St. Paul Teachers’ Retirement Fund Association

Representative Kahn presented the MS-A09 amendment.

Chair Anderson renewed the motion that HF659 be re-referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The meeting was adjourned at 4:17 PM.
