MINUTES

Representative Anderson, Chair of the State Government Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:16 A.M. on March 26, 2015, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Chair Anderson called the meeting to order at 8:16 A.M. A quorum was present.

Representative Mark Anderson moved that the minutes from the committee meeting on March 25, 2015 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Anderson moved that HF1467 come before the committee and be recommended to be place on the General Register.

HF1467 (Anderson, S.) - Hennepin County; railroad condemnation power limited.

Chair Anderson renewed the motion that HF1467 be recommended to be placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Vice - Chair Howe moved that HF146 come before the committee and be recommended to be placed on the General Register.

HF146 (Dettmer) - Honor and Remember Flag designated as an official symbol of the state's commitment to military service members who have lost their lives in service to our country, and display of flag encouraged on certain days in certain public locations.

HF337 (Sanders) - Campaign finance and public disclosure board provisions modified; enforcement, registration, fees, data, contributions, statements of economic interest, and other provisions administered by the board modified; penalties provided; and technical changes made.

Representative Loonan moved that HF840 come before the committee and be recommended to be placed on the General Register.

HF840 (Sanders) - Election administration related provisions modified, including provisions related to school boards, voters, ballots, registration, violations, absentee ballots, candidates, vacancies, recounts, filing fees, and precincts; military and overseas absentee voting provisions modified; Uniform Faithful Presidential Electors Act provided; and various technical changes made.

Vice-Chair Howe moved the A15-0349 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Vice-Chair Howe moved an oral amendment to HF840, the first engrossment, as follows:

Page 30, line 13 - delete “204B.14, Subdivision 6.” THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Loonan renewed the motion that HF840 be recommended to be placed on the General Register, as amended. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Nash moved that HF1538 come before the committee and be recommended to be placed on the General Register.


HF1538 (Loonan) - Retired workers' compensation judges provision requirements modified.
