STATE GOVERNMENT FINANCE COMMITTEE
MINUTES

Representative Anderson, Chair of the State Government Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:15 A.M. on March 24, 2015, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Chair Anderson called the meeting to order at 8:15 A.M. A quorum was present.

Representative Carlson moved that the minutes from the committee meeting on March 19, 2015 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Attorney General Lori Swanson, Office of the Attorney General, gave an overview of activities.

Michele Timmons, Revisor of Statutes, and Tim Orr, Deputy Revisor of Information Services for the Office of the Revisor of Statutes, gave an overview of activities.

Chair Anderson moved that HF472 come before the committee.

HF472 (Erickson) – Assistive technology grant funding provided, and money appropriated.

Chair Anderson renewed the motion that HF472 be laid over for possible inclusion in the State Government Finance omnibus bill. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Anderson moved that HF1835 come before the committee and be re-referred to the Committee on Environment and Natural Resources Policy and Finance.

HF1835 (Runbeck) - Metropolitan Area Water Supply Advisory Committee modified and duties specified, water supply plan requirements modified, report required, and implementation of groundwater management area plan delayed.

Chair Anderson renewed the motion that HF1835 be re-referred to the Committee on Environment and Natural Resources Policy and Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Tony Albright presented on HF327.

HF327 (Scott) - Right of citizens to be secure from unreasonable searches and seizures provided to include protection against unreasonable searches and seizures of electronic communications and data, and constitutional amendment proposed.

Chair Anderson renewed the motion that HF327 be re-referred to the Committee on Public Safety and Crime Prevention Policy and Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

A division was called. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
