STATE GOVERNMENT FINANCE COMMITTEE
MINUTES

Representative Anderson, Chair of the State Government Finance Committee, began the meeting at 8:15 A.M. on March 19, 2015, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Chair Anderson began the meeting at 8:15 A.M. A quorum was NOT present.

Chair Anderson called the meeting to order at 8:16 A.M. A quorum was present.

Representative Schultz moved that the minutes from the committee meeting on March 18, 2015 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Secretary Steve Simon, Office of the Secretary of State, gave an overview of activities.

Chair Anderson moved that HF1130 come before the committee and be laid over for possible inclusion in the State Government Finance omnibus bill.

HF1130 (Cornish) – Farmamerica provided funding, and money appropriated.

Chair Anderson renewed the motion that HF1130 be laid over for possible inclusion in the State Government Finance omnibus bill. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Anderson moved that HF1673 come before the committee and be re-referred to the General Register.

HF1673 (Newton) – Commissioner of veterans affairs guardianship program repealed.

Chair Anderson renewed the motion that HF1673 be re-referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Linda Runbeck moved that HF288 (O’Neill) come before the committee and be re-referred to the General Register.

HF288 (O’Neill) – Professional engineer license requirements clarified.

Representative Linda Runbeck renewed the motion that HF288 be re-referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Vice-Chair Howe assumed the gavel at 9:33 A.M.

Steve Elliott, Director and Chief Executive Officer, and David Kelliher, Director of Public Policy and Community Relations for the Minnesota Historical Society, gave an overview of activities.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:47 A.M.
