MINUTES

Representative Anderson, Chair of the State Government Finance Committee, began the meeting at 8:16 A.M. on March 18, 2015, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Chair Anderson began the meeting at 8:16 A.M. A quorum was NOT present.

Chair Anderson called the meeting to order at 8:17 A.M. A quorum was present.

Representative Petersburg moved that the minutes from the committee meeting on March 17, 2015 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Dettmer moved that HF1556 come before the committee and be recommended to be placed on the General Register.

HF1556 (Lueck) – Hire a Veteran Month changed from May to July.

Representative Dettmer renewed the motion that HF1556 be recommended to be placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Runbeck moved that HF546 come before the committee and be recommended to be placed on the General Register.

HF546 (Dettmer) – Government entity permitted to release military release forms to another government entity for purpose of locating records.

Representative Dettmer moved the HO546A1 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Don Kerr, Executive Director, Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs

Representative Runbeck renewed the motion that HF546 be recommended to be placed on the General Register as amended. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Joel Glaser, CEO of the Association of Minnesota Public Radio Stations (AMPERS), gave an overview of activities.

Vice-Chair Howe assumed the gavel at 9:08 A.M.

Gary Goldsmith, Executive Director, and Jeff Sigurdson, Assistant Executive Director for the Campaign Finance Board, gave an overview of activities.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:49 A.M.
