MINUTES

Representative Sanders, Chair of the Government Operations and Election Policy, called the meeting to order at 10:19 AM on March 22, 2016 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Albright moved to approve the minutes from March 17, 2016.

THE MOTION PREVAILED

HF3436 (Franson) Legislative Task Force on Child Care created, report required.

The following testified on HF3436:

Tracy Stengle – Child Care Provider
Barb Wagner – Minnesota Licensed Family Child Care Association Executive Director

Chair Sanders moved to re-refer HF3436 to the committee on Health and Human Services Reform.

HF978 (Zerwas) Genetic counselors licensed.

Chair Sanders moved to re-refer HF978 to Public Safety Policy and Finance Committee.

HF2757 (Pugh) Land less than 20 acres from the fence-viewing process exemption by counties and cities authorized, and county and city fence policy authorized.

Representative Pugh moved to amend HF2757 (See attached amendment A16-0912)

THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED

Representative Pugh moved to place HF2757, as amended, on the General Register.

THE MOTION PREVAILED

HF3024 (Runbeck) Board of Barber Examiners provisions modified, and rulemaking authorized.

The following testified on HF3024:
Linda Runbeck – State Representative
Thora Fisko – Minnesota Barbers Examiners Executive Secretary

Representative Runbeck moved to amend HF3024 (See attached amendment A16-0915)

THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED

Representative Runbeck moved to re-refer HF3024, as amended, to the State Government Finance committee.

THE MOTION PREVAILED

The committee adjourned at 11:04 AM.
