MINUTES


Representative McNamara, Chair of the Environment & Natural Resources Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:17 a.m. on February 26, 2015 in Hearing Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Members present:

A quorum was present.

Representative Uglem moved to approve the minutes of February 25, 2015.
THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Fabian moved HF616 (Legislative approval of water quality standards and rules required, water quality standards cost-benefit analysis required, and money appropriated) and HF617 (Water quality work independent peer review required) for possible inclusion to an omnibus bill.

Representative Fabian moved the H0616A3 amendment.

Testifying before the committee on HF616 and HF617 were:
Elizabeth Wefel, Flaherty & Hood, on behalf of the Coalition of Greater Minnesota Cities;
Steve Nyhus, Flaherty & Hood, on behalf of Minnesota Environmental Science & Economic Board;
Pat Hentges, Mankato City Manager;
Roger Avelsgard, Breckenridge Public Service Director;
Dan Dorman, Greater Minnesota Partnership;
Gretchen Sable, Water Liaison, League of Women Voters Minnesota Action Committee.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:57 a.m.
