MINUTES


Representative McNamara, Chair of the Environment & Natural Resources Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:19 a.m. on March 17, 2015 in Hearing Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Fabian moved to approve the minutes, as corrected, of March 12, 2015.
THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative McNamara moved HF 989 (Lenczewski) Dakota County; Black Dog Lake water quality assessment required, for possible inclusion to an omnibus bill.

Testifying before the committee on HF 989 were:
John Crampton, Bloomington, MN;
Glenn Skuta, Surface Water Monitoring Manager, MPCA.

Representative McNamara moved HF 1704 (Youakim) Eligibility for grants from revenue generated by lottery in lieu tax modified.

Testifying before the committee on HF 1704 was:
Bob Meier, DNR.

Representative McNamara renewed his motion that HF 1704 be recommended to pass and be
re-referred to the Committee on Taxes. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Dill moved HF 1649 (Dill) Sustainable Forest Incentive Act early withdrawal allowed.

Representative Dill renewed his motion that HF 1649 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Taxes. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair McNamara called a recess at 8:49 a.m.

Chair McNamara reconvened the committee at 9:06 a.m.


Representative Hansen moved HF 1349 (Hansen) Drainage system benefit requirements redetermination modified, for possible inclusion to an omnibus bill.

Ray Bohn, Minnesota Association of Watershed Districts;

The meeting was adjourned at 9:58 a.m.
