MINUTES

Representative Anderson, Chair of the Agriculture Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:27 a.m. on March 25, 2015 in Hearing Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Chair Anderson started the meeting at 10:20 a.m. A quorum was not present.

Chair Anderson called the meeting to order at 10:27 a.m. a quorum was present.

Rep. Backer moved to approve the minutes from March 18, 2015. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1944 Agricultural preserve early termination provided

Rep. Rarick moved that House File 1944 be re-referred to the Property Tax and Local Government Finance Division.

Rep. Rarick moved the A15-0325 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Testifying on HF1944 as amended, Rep. Jerry Hertaus, Mike McDermott, Verizon Wireless, Santo Cruz, Minnesota Department of Agriculture.

Rep. Rarick renewed his motion that House File 1944, as amended, be re-referred to the Property Tax and Local Government Finance Division. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1905 Butcher training pilot program established

Rep. Johnson moved that House File 1905 be re-referred to the Committee on Public Safety and Crime Prevention Policy and Finance.

Testifying on HF1905, Rep. Metsa, Keith Nelson, St. Louis County Commissioner.

Rep. Johnson renewed his motion that House File 1905 be re-referred to the Committee on Public Safety and Crime Prevention Policy and Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Bly moved that House File 812 be re-referred to the Committee on Taxes.

Rep. Bly moved the H0812A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Bly renewed his motion that House File 812, as amended, be re-referred to the Committee on Taxes. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Anderson moved that House File 1904 be re-referred to the Committee on Agriculture Finance.

Rep. Anderson renewed his motion that House File 1904 be re-referred to the Committee on Agriculture Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
