MINUTES

Representative Liebling, Chair of the Committee on Health and Human Services Policy, called the meeting to order at 10:10 AM, March 14, 2013 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Lohmer moved the minutes of March 13 be approved. Motion prevailed. Minutes approved.

At 10:11 AM Chair Benson assumed the gavel.

Representative Liebling moved that HF1139 (Liebling) Minnesota sex offender program provisional discharge modified, and victim notification of discharge or release modified, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Judiciary Committee.

Representative Liebling moved that amendment H1125A1 be adopted. Motion prevailed. Amendment adopted.

Representative Loeffler presented information on HF1125.

The following individuals testified:
Donna Dunn, Executive Director MNCASA

Chair Liebling allowed time for member questions and answers.

Representative Loeffler renewed her motion that HF1125 be recommended to pass as amended and re-referred to the Health and Human Services Finance Committee. Motion prevailed.

The Committee recessed at 11:58 AM.

The Committee reconvened at 5:51 PM.

Chair Liebling moved that HF848 (Hortman) Original birth records and other adoption-related information provisions modified, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Civil Law Committee.

Chair Liebling moved that amendment H0848DE1 be adopted.

Lynn Aves, House Research and Representative Abeler presented information on amendment H0848DE1.

Representative Abeler withdrew amendment H0848DE1.

Chair Liebling allowed time for member questions and answers provided by Representative Hortman.

The following individuals testified:

Chair Liebling laid over HF848 as amended.

Committee adjourned at 6:44 PM
