MINUTES

Representative Lanning, Chair of the State Government Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:19 a.m. on March 8, 2011, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Leidiger moved that the minutes from the committee meeting on March 3, 2011, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Commissioner Jim Schowalter and Dennis Munkwitz, Chief Financial Officer, presented a budget overview of Minnesota Management and Budget.

Chair Lanning moved that HF 174, as amended, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Taxes. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Downey moved HF 191 for possible inclusion in the State Government Finance Committee omnibus bill.

Representative Downey moved the H0191A3 amendment to HF 191. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Jeff Gilmer, Senior Partner at Excipio Consulting testified on HF 191.

Richard Kolodziejski, Legislative Affairs Director for the Minnesota Association of Professional Employees (MAPE) testified on HF 191.

Chair Lanning laid over HF 191 for possible inclusion in the State Government Finance Committee omnibus bill.

The meeting was adjourned at 10:06 a.m.
