JUDICIARY POLICY AND FINANCE COMMITTEE

MINUTES

Representative Mazorol, Vice Chair of the Judiciary Policy and Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:20 A.M. on March 13, 2012, in Room 10 (ground floor) of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Kriesel moved approval of the March 8, 2012 Judiciary Policy and Finance Committee minutes. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Shimanski presented HF 2531. Parenting plan mediation development required.

Representative Shimanski moved HF 2531, as amended, be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Civil Law.

Representative Shimanski moved the H2531A4 amendment to HF 2531. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Shimanski presented HF 2680. Jury selection limitation removed on voter list data received by courts.

Representative Shimanski moved that HF 2680 be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register.

Representative Shimanski renewed his motion that HF 2680 be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Shimanski assumed the gavel at 9:27am.

Representative Barrett presented HF 358. Immigration law enforcement noncooperation ordinances and policies prohibited, and immigration-related data use provided.

Representative Vogel moved HF 358 be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register.

Representative Vogel renewed his motion that HF358 be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Smith presented HF 876. Court hearing opening modified in delinquency or extended jurisdiction juvenile proceedings.

Representative Smith moved HF 876 before the committee.

Representative Smith moved the H0876DE1-2 amendment to HF 876. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
