GOVERNMENT OPERATIONS AND ELECTIONS COMMITTEE

MINUTES

Representative Peppin, Chair of the Government Operations and Elections Committee, called the forty fifth meeting to order at 10:21a.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2012, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Quam moved that the minutes of February 14, 2012, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

SF134 (Beard) Public employee definition modified.

Representative Beard moved that SF134 be recommended to pass and sent to the General Register.

The committee heard testimony on SF134.

Representative Beard renewed his motion that SF134 be recommended to pass and sent to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1974 (Drazkowski) Public employee contract terms discontinuance in effect provided after expiration of a collective bargaining agreement.

Chair Peppin moved that HF1974 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the State Government Finance Committee.

Chair Peppin renewed her motion that HF1974 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the State Government Finance Committee.

HF1975 (Drazkowski) State government outside contract restrictions removed.

Chair Peppin moved that HF1975 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the State Government Finance Committee.

The committee heard testimony on HF1975.

Chair Peppin announced that the bill would be laid over.

The meeting was adjourned at 12:00p.m.
