MINUTES

Representative Hoppe, Chair of the Commerce and Regulatory Reform Committee, called the meeting to order at 2:36:08, February 23, 2011, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Davids moved that HF395 be recommended to pass and re-referred to Civil Law Committee.

Representative Wardlow introduced HF 395.

Representative Hackbarth introduced HF 434.

Bob Krogman from MN Petroleum Market Association testified.

Representative Hoppe moved that HF 434 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Environment, Energy, and Natural Resources Policy Finance Committee. The motion prevailed.

Representative Sanders introduced HF562 and moved that it be recommended to pass and re-referred to Civil Law.

Mark Lambert testified.

Ron Elwood from Legal Aid testified.

Representative Sanders renewed his motion. The motion prevailed.

Representative Murdock moved HF 342 and recommended that it be passed and re-referred to Jobs and Economy Development Finance Committee.

Mark Brunner testified.

Representative Murdock renewed his motion. The motion prevailed.

Representative Stensrud moved to approve the minutes for February 9, 2011. The motion prevailed.

Representative Hoppe moved HF 288 that it be recommended to pass and re-referred to Jobs and Economic Policy Committee.

Representative Downey introduced HF 288.

Paul Cassidy testified.

Representative Hoppe moved amendment H0288A1. The motion prevailed. The amendment was adopted.

Jennifer Schaubach from MN AFL-CIO testified.

Tom Hesse from MN Chamber of Commerce testified.

Representative Hoppe renewed his motion that HF288 be passed and re-referred to Jobs and Economic Development Committee. The motion prevailed.
