MINUTES

Representative Paul Anderson, Vice- Chair of the Agriculture & Rural Development Policy & Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:34 a.m. on Thursday, February 9, 2012, in Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll. A quorum was not present.

Representatives Hamilton and Poppe were excused.

A quorum was present at 10:36 a.m.

Representative Vogel moved HF 1890 to pass and be re-referred to the Tax Committee.
Testifying on HF 1890 were:

Dr. Bill Hartmann, Minnesota Board of Animal Health
Jason Nord, Minnesota Department of Revenue
Representative Vogel renewed his motion to pass HF 1890 and re-refer it to the Tax Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.


Representative Schomacker moved to approve the minutes of January 31, 2012. THE MOTION PREVAILED.


Representative Bruce Anderson moved HF 539 to pass and be re-referred to the Tax Committee.

Bill Effertz,Steele County Assessor and MN Association of County Assessors

Representative Hansen moved an oral amendment on line 1.10 to insert "of at least 10 acres" after the word ‘acreage.'
Representative Hansen withdrew his oral amendment.

Representative Torkelson moved to lay the bill over. THE MOTION PREVAILED.



The meeting was adjourned at 11:58 a.m.
