MINUTES

Representative Hamilton, Chair of the Agriculture & Rural Development Policy & Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:18 A.M. on April 13, 2011, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Franson was excused. Representative Fritz was absent.

A quorum was present.

Representative Torkelson moved to approve the minutes of March 23, 2011. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Hamilton moved HF 264 to pass and be re-referred to Judiciary Policy and Finance. Chair Hamilton moved amendment A11-0222. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Chair Hamilton moved amendment A11-0209. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Testifying on HF 264 as amended were:

Joel Carlson, Legal Research/Government Affairs
Chair Hamilton renewed his motion that HF 264 as amended pass and be re-referred to Judiciary Policy and Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Paul Anderson moved HF 1347 for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.
Testifying on HF 1347 were:

Dr. Bill Nelson, President of Nelson Dairy Consultants
Thom Peterson, Minnesota Farmers Union
Representative Paul Anderson renewed his motion that HF 1347 be held over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

Representative Paul Anderson moved HF 625 for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

Representative Anderson renewed his motion that HF 625 be held over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

The next meeting will be Tuesday, April 26, 2011.
