MINUTES


Representative Mahoney, Chair of the Bioscience and Workforce Development Policy and Oversight Division called the twelfth meeting to order at 10:35 A.M. on February 18, 2009 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Hilty moved HF680 be recommended to pass and be returned to the Committee on Higher Education and Workforce Development Finance and Policy.

Representative Hilty moved to amend HF680 as follows: See attachment A identified as H0680A3. AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Kalin presented HF680 a bill

relating to energy; providing direction for the use of federal stimulus funding for energy programs; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes,
chapter 216B

Testifying on HF680 were:

Lester Shen, Center for Energy and Environment
Valerie Dosland , MN Community Action Partnership
Gail O’Kane, MnSCU

Chair Mahoney laid over HF680.

Representative Norton moved approval of the Minutes from the February 17, 2009 meeting.
MOTION PREVAILED AND MINUTES ARE APPROVED.


The Committee was adjourned at 11:55 A.M.
