MINUTES


Representative Dennis Ozment, Chair of the Agriculture, Environment & Rural Development Finance Committee, called the fifty-third meeting to order at 8:26 A.M. on Thursday, March 2, 2006, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

Chair OZMENT moved the Minutes of May 10, 2005; November 28, 2005 1:32P.M.; November 28, 2005 6:50P.M.; January 23, 2006; January 24, 2006; February 2, 2006 be approved as prepared by the Clerk. THE MOTION PREVAILED.


Chair OZMENT moved HF2686 (Westrom) University of Minnesota - Morris, West Central Research and Outreach Center funding provided, bonds issued and money appropriated for possible consideration by the Committee.

Representative JUHNKE moved that the Committee include language of support of HF2686 in its committee recommendation to the Committee on Capital Investment and that it be re-referred to the Committee on Higher Education. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair OZMENT moved HF2589 (Simpson) Otter Tail River restoration funding provided, bonds issued and money appropriated for possible consideration.

The bill was laid over for possible consideration in the bonding recommendation to the Capital Investment Committee.

Chair OZMENT moved HF2590 (Simpson) Perham resource recovery facility funding provided, bonds issued, and money appropriated.

Representative DILL moved HF2789 (Anderson, I) Koochiching County clean air project funding provided, bonds issued and money appropriated, be held over for possible inclusion in the bonding bill.
