8:27 a.m.

Representative Peterson, A. moved to approve minutes of April 21, 2005. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
HF 826 (Ozment) Clean Water Legacy Act established providing authority, direction, and funding to achieve and maintain water quality standards for surface waters in accordance with the federal Clean Water Act, and money appropriated.
Testifing on HF 826 were
Keith Carlson, Metropolitan Inter-County Association,
Louie Jambois, Association of Metropolitan Municipalities,
Kari Thurlow, Coalition of Greater Minnesota Cities,
Dell Erickson, Minneapolis, MN.
Representative Ozment moved to amend HF826, with the delete everything A05-0565. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Representative Ozment discussed various funding options for HF 826, as amended, with Committee members.
